HSPIN x At Design Lab Collaboration

Twenty years have passed.

December 2005. Every restock of the HSPIN Pyro sold out instantly at shops around the world. Owning one was a status symbol in itself. Whether you never got your hands on one back then, had one and let it go, or never knew that era at all — now, the legend is yours to hold.

The Pyro changed the history of the yoyo. Full metal can compete. That fact was thrown down before the entire world. Trace the DNA of any full metal yoyo you hold today, and it leads straight back here.

Put it next to a modern yoyo, and the Pyro is something else entirely. An overwhelming sense of mass that travels up your arm. Spin that refuses to die through even the most complex mounts. And the raw, untamed feeling the moment you throw — everything modern yoyos have refined away still lives in this one.

With the exception of the response pads — for which no modern equivalent exists — this is finished to the exact original drawings designed by Chris.K in 2005.

The collaboration between At Design Lab and HSPIN doesn't end with a reissue. Pyro OG is the first page of an unfolding story — the story of If.
Now, let's get the beginning.

Cautions

  • String Wear: Please note that the laser engraving on the surface may cause strings to wear out faster than usual. We recommend checking and replacing your string frequently.

  • Vintage Coating: Due to the unique "Vintage Coating" process, you may notice pinholes or fine, scuff-like marks on the fire pattern. Please understand that this is an intentional product specification resulting from the special surface treatment, not a defect.

  • Gap Adjustment: You can adjust the gap width of the yoyo by swapping the bearings and axel length.

  • M3 Axle Care: This model utilizes an M3 axle, which is thinner than the axles used in most standard yoyos. Please exercise extra caution during assembly and disassembly to avoid damaging the threads.

  • Anodization Marks: By faithfully recreating the original 2005 design, the unique overhanging rim traps bubbles during the anodizing process, resulting in lighter colored spots inside the rim. Please note this is a natural characteristic of the original shape, not a defect.
